MARC JACOBS: Fall 2020 runway review

The show was a beautiful showcase of what getting inspired by past decades in fashion should be like, it wasn't so desperately trying to be or bring back all the things that represent that time but instead, it took all the beauty that decades like the 60s and 70s had to offer but modernizing it with today's liberating way to view the world, from men in high heels and short skirts dancing, to women in suits with Bermuda shorts with a strong walk.

As always the sharpness and extraness of the looks were perfectly executed and watching all those dancers expressing their art while wearing art (and running around fashion editors and bloggers) was just the thrill of a lifetime.

Oh and Kaia Gerber in that perfect lime coat (and matching hat!) was a dream come true.

Fav pieces:

• The boob accentuated sweaters

• THAT Bella Hadid glove and sequins dress look.

• Pretty much every monochromatic coat and skirt look.

• Those shiny shiny dress, coat, and gloves looks. (one of them model by the beautiful Karlie Kloss)

El show fue una hermosa demostración de como debería ser cuando tomas inspiración de décadas pasadas en la moda. No intentaba desesperadamente ser o traer de vuelta todo lo que esa época representó, en cambiuo, toma toda la belleza que los 60s y los 70s tienen para ofrecer, pero modernizándolo con la liberadora forma de ver el mundo en la actualidad, desde hombres en tacones altos y faldas cortas, hasta mujeres en trajes oversized con bermudas y paso fuerte, muy fuerte.

Como ya es costumbre para el diseñador, la precisión y extravagancia de los looks estuvo perfectamente ejecutada. Ver a todos esos bailarines expresando su arte mientras modelaban arte (y corriendo entre editores y blogueros de moda) fue justo lo que necesitaba para alegrar mi Fashion Week.

Oh y Kaia Gerber en ese perfecto abrigo lima (con sombrero a juego!) fue un sueño hecho realidad.

Piezas Favoritas:

• Los sweaters con senos acentuados.

• ESE look de guantes y vestido de lentejuelas de Bella Hadid.

• Prácticamente cada uno de los conjuntos de abrigo y falda monocromáticos.

• Esos looks MEGA brillantes de vestido, guantes y abrigo. (Uno de ellos modelados por la hermosa Karlie Kloss)
